Dear Opera in Concert Patrons, Welcome to Opera in Concert’s 36th Season! We enter a new phase for Opera in Concert with a flourish of
activities at the Board level and a renewed commitment to interpretative
objectives on stage. All efforts intend to make the Opera in Concert experience compelling in its dramatic presentation and always
alluringly vocal. “Voice, voice, voice” was a prominent tenor’s response when
asked what makes opera so distinct. Opera in Concert is not afraid to commit
to this first tenet of the art form. There are others, and we at OIC want to
explore the full gamut of its potential … unplugged, straight-up and
powerful. Opera in Concert’s creative teams, our artists, the chorus and
orchestra are eager to continue in this new approach toward presenting opera
in the concert format. Our friends, our patrons and the public have responded with great applause. I hope you too, will take a
chance with the company and see what we are up to. You are cordially invited to journey into the unknown and
explore not only rare and innovative operatic programming but be thrilled by
